'Burning Bridges' Series to World Premiere at DWF:LA - Spoiler Free Review
'Burning Bridges' the new series from Ciro Dapagio to make its world premiere at Dances With Films: Los Angeles.
Making its world premiere at Dances With Films: Los Angeles (DWF:LA) on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 10:15 a.m., ‘Burning Bridges’ is a compelling, character-driven drama set in the unforgiving world of professional wrestling, where loyalty is fleeting and ambition comes at a price. The series follows Jack Stacks (producer and star Ciro Dapagio), a legendary wrestling villain whose glory days are behind him. After 25 years as one of the most despised figures in sports entertainment, Jack finds himself clinging to a fading reputation while struggling to remain relevant in an industry that has moved on without him.
Still driving his Ferrari and relying on the notoriety he built over decades, Jack attempts one final comeback. Along the way, he must confront the consequences of the bridges he has burned, the mistakes that defined his career and the personal demons that continue to haunt him. As tensions rise behind the curtain and alliances shift, the battle becomes about far more than championships. It becomes a fight for redemption, identity and legacy.
As a lifelong fan of professional wrestling, I was immediately drawn to ‘Burning Bridges’. The series captures the grit, sacrifice and larger-than-life personalities that make pro wrestling so captivating while also exploring the very human struggles behind the spectacle (think the Mid-South and Crockette eras of the 1980s). Wrestling fans will appreciate the in-ring action and authentic atmosphere, especially with the appearance of Dave Heath, better known to fans as The Vampire Warrior in the USWA and Gangrel from WWE.
Dark, gritty and yet hopeful, ‘Burning Bridges’ delivers both an engaging wrestling drama and a meaningful redemption story. Whether you’re a wrestling fan or just enjoy character-driven stories about second chances with fantastic cinematography, this is a series worth watching.
‘Burning Bridges’ makes its world premiere at Dances With Films: Los Angeles (DWF:LA) on June 28, 2026 at 10:15 a.m. at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
