Liongate's action thriller, 'Mutiny' starring Jason Statham releases its first trailer featuring KRS-One.
Lionsgate has released the final trailer for “Mutiny,” a new action thriller starring Jason Statham, ahead of its Aug. 21 theatrical debut.
Directed by Jean-François Richet, the film follows Cole Reed (Statham), who witnesses the murder of his billionaire boss and is framed for the crime. Forced to go on the run, Reed boards in charge ship on a one-man mission to uncover the truth and avenge his boss’s death, only to discover an international conspiracy.
The film’s first trailer featured KRS-One’s “Step Into a World,” while the latest trailer includes the voice of a famous icon, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film’s release.
“ Mutiny ,” is presented by Lionsgate and produced by MadRiver Pictures and Punch Palace. The film was written by Lindsay Michel and JP Davis and produced by Marc Butan and Statham.
The cast includes Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller and Adrian Lester alongside Statham.
Rated R for strong, bloody violence and language, Mutiny has a runtime of 95 minutes.
